LISTEN TO THE AUDIO RECAP
1 new manager & 1 returned from hiatus. 2 of the new managers have commissioner experience, and both made the playoffs.
Comp's first snake draft. And the exit survey was positive on this.
Major changes. Game day waiver schedule & week 14 locked list.
Minor changes. 0.25 point per rushing attempt; scoring changes for kickers and team defenses; and playoff waiver priority.
Exit survey. First time I polled the league on rules in consideration for the following season.
RJ won his first championship, defeating his close friend Anthony in the playoffs with a MNF come-from-behind victory. Much deserved as the highest scoring team in the regular season, with the 6th hardest schedule, and after being the runner-up in the 2023 season, as well as the runner-up in Comp's 2022 season.
David's hard schedule. A record 3005.13 points against, 154.51 more points against than the next hardest schedule.
Raymond managed the best team to miss the playoffs, with the 6th highest points scored and the 3rd hardest schedule. John took that spot with the 7th highest points.
Reinier's worst season. Reinier overcame a cold streak of 11 losses to finish 10th and avoid penalties, but had his worst finish despite having the most transactions for the 4th season in a row.
Anthonyβs 10-week heater. Anthony ripped off 10 straight wins between Weeks 6 and 10, the longest streak of the season, and tied RJ for the most matchup wins (10) and most median wins (10).
Jeffβs efficiency. Despite being the least active manager (only 24 transactions), Jeff made the playoffs, posted the second-highest point total (2953.74), and tied for the most median wins (10).
Kyleβs infamous season. Kyle finished last in total points, tied for fewest matchup wins (2), had the most weekly penalties (6), and was part of the second-worst losing streak (9 straight).
Bryanβs boom-or-bust season. Bryan had the largest matchup blowout (83.71 pts) and the smallest median margin of victory (0.19 pts), plus the easiest schedule and the largest median win margin. A wild statistical ride, even if he didnβt top the standings.
16 trades for the entire season. Strong recovery from last season's record low 7 trades, but still less than the 24 trades in 2022.
11.75% of FAAB remaining at the end of the season. In 2023, 5.375%.
Runner-up: Anthony
Runner-up: David

Eugene's dominant season. The highest scoring manager in the regular season, the most weekly payouts, the record win streak, the most matchup wins, the most median wins, the 3rd most waiver transactions and never had the lowest weekly scoreβand it all ended in 1st place. His first Comp season, and his first season doing both leagues. A dominant season from start to finish.
And one more thing: Eugene's record win streak. 15 wins from weeks 7 through 14, an all-time league record. The previous all-time record was 13, held by Ian in 2013 (pre-doubleheaders) and Michael in 2021 (doubleheaders).
Michaelβs season from hell. He had the fewest matchup wins (3), fewest median wins (3), most weekly penalties (4), hardest schedule, and finished with the lowest total points. The only silver lining? He had the highest-scoring defense of the year.
Markβs late-season surge. After sitting in 9th midway through the season, Mark grabbed the final playoff spot in Week 14 and went on to finish 3rd overall. He also notched an all-time record blowout of the year (137.07 points) and was named Best Drafter.
Chrisβs nail-biters. Chris edged Gabe by just 0.59 for the smallest median margin of victory, and had one of the seasonβs longest win streaks (11 games). He also had the yearβs highest-scoring player: Josh Allenβs 58.08 in Week 14.
Only 8 trades for the entire season. In 2023 there were 9 trades. In 2022 there were 13 trades.
