Introduced Benchmark One, an 18-team guillotine league with IDP. Funded by the $5 trophy fee since our trophy manufacturer was affected by tariffs, the cash prize of $120 was winner-take-all.
New managers. 1 new manager & 1 returned from hiatus after 13 years.
Buy-ins, payouts, and penalties increased. This is the first season that every Comp manager preferred a $100 buy-in.
New draft formats. Comp managers were able to select snake draft positions before the draft, and One managers drafted autodrafted teams.
Comp's first snake draft. And the exit survey was positive on this.
Major changes. 5 point passing TDs. Week 14 Can't Cut List.
Minor changes. DST return yards. "Loan trades" banned.
Eugene won his first championship, coming from behind twice in week 17 to defeat Bryan who dominated the entire regular season. Eugene was the 3rd highest scoring team in the regular season, with the 8th hardest schedule. A manager who plays both leagues, he won Comp's 2024 season and fielded a strong roster for most of One's inaugural season.
Jeff's hard schedule. A record 3067.01 points against, 60+ points more than last season's recordβand 116.51 more than the next hardest schedule. Plus, he scored the 8th most points, so truly the worst luck to land in last place.
All of the top 6 scoring teams made the playoffs. Typically, at least one high-scoring team misses the playoffs.
Bryan's all-time regular season dominance. Never lower than 3rd in the standings all season, Bryan was in 1st from weeks 3 to 14βan unprecedented run.
Gabe's first time missing the playoffs. The two-time Prime champ has made the playoffs every year for the last five seasons.
Eugene and Anthonyβs efficiency. Both only made 30 transactions in the regular season, the 2nd fewest in the league, and yet both finished 1st and 3rd, respectively.
18 trades for the entire season. 2 more than last season. Still less than the 24 trades in 2022.
11% of FAAB remaining at the end of the season. In 2024, 11.75%. In 2023, 5.375%.
Runner-up: Bryan

Cory's stealth championship. An honorable-mention βcomebackβ case in his own right: he started the season in 10th place (for just one week) and still won it all. Even wilder: Cory was in the βNever the bestβ club (never had the highest weekly score) while also leading the league in matchup sweats (5 tight matchups, winning 4).
Reinierβs stat-sheet MVP season. Reinier basically owned the superlatives page: most points (3111.19), most weekly payouts (4 top-score weeks), largest matchup margin of victory (+98.24 on Matt in Week 5), most median wins (10), best waiver manager (33 adds), most active (100 transactions), and Dealmaker (6 trades).
Jamesβs rollercoaster season. Comeback Manager of the Year after starting 12th for a month, climbing as high as 3rd by Week 8, then falling out in Week 13βwhile staying out of penalties troubleβ¦ except he also led the league in weekly penalties (4). And somehow James posted both the highest weekly score (270.43 in Week 5) and the lowest weekly score (122.26 in Week 12)β¦ plus another bottom-3 clunker (125.08 in Week 14).
Maryβs second-half inferno. The hottest streak of the year: a 12-win run from Weeks 9β14, plus the league lead in matchup wins (11). She also nailed the seasonβs ultimate squeaker: smallest matchup margin of victory (+0.39 over Mark in Week 2)βand still found time for a 95.63-point demolition of Matt (Week 10), one of the biggest blowouts of the season.
Haydenβs median madness. Hayden somehow captured both ends of the median spectrum: the largest median margin of victory (a record-setting 43.15 gap in Week 5) and the smallest median margin of victory (a 0.01 edge over Matt in Week 4). Also: zero trades, joining the season-long trade freeze.
Mattβs monopoly of negative superlatives. The Baluser had a brutal full-house of lows: fewest points (2493.79), fewest matchup wins (3), fewest median wins (3), and least active (1 transaction). The only βbright spotβ was the easiest schedule (2594.48 points against).
Only 8 trades for the entire season. Same number as 2024. In 2023 there were 9 trades. In 2022 there were 13 trades. 7 managers completed zero trades (Gabe, Hayden, James, Kevin, Kyle, Mark, Mary), while Reinier and Eugene did basically all the dealing (Reinier 6; Eugene 4).Β
