Relegation! We added a 12-team relegation league to further improve the competitiveness of Prime, and make sure folks who love our league format are never priced out.
12 new managers. Incidentally, most of the new managers have commissioner experience. And 2 new managers played in both leagues.
New rules. Tight end premium and more intuitive defensive scoring.Β Two-week playoffs in Comp. Plus, a new cash penalty for the lowest scoring weekly managers, to fund the Prime trophy.
Recorded Prime draft. The first time we managed to properly record the draft board. No video for Comp because the commissioner was not managing a team, so he could not see/record the draft board.
An unclear end to the fantasy season. Damar Hamlin's scary injury in MNF of week 17, and the resulting suspension then cancellation of a pivotal game, required careful review to figure out the final standings of both leagues.
The first true QB supply shortage. Because this was the most competitive Prime has ever been, it's the first time we truly felt a QB supply shortage as a 14-team superflex league.
Aleks's miracle week 14. In the final week of the regular season, he managed to jump from last place (14th) to out of penalties (12th). Which never happened before.
Reinier's all-time record for highest weekly score. In week 7, Reinier scored a whopping 273.47 points in a single week, stealing the record from Mark, who scored a previously unprecedented 266.61 in his week 1 debut.
Smallest median margin of victory. Jeff edged out a median win by 0.06 point in week 11. The previous record was 0.1 in 2021.
A crowded playoff bubble. In the final weeks of the regular season, a record 6 teams were in contention for 3 playoff spots.
Raymond's waiver upset. Before MNF in week 12, Raymond outbid Ian for Benny Snell (14.8 points), which β alongside his waiver pickup of Jelani Woods (22.8 points) β gave him a come-from-behind matchup AND median victory in MNF, which gave Ian 2 losses that ultimately kept him out of playoffs and ensured that David got in.
Runner-up: Jeff
Runner-up: Raymond

This waiver pickup singlehandedly gave Ian 2 losses that ultimately kept him out of playoffs. (Honorable mention is Raymond's week 3 pickup of Mack Hollins for free, giving him 28.46 points and a win.)
π Worst FAAB move
Spent 75% FAAB (the highest payment of the season) to acquire Sam Ehlinger, who only delivered 9.64 points, then 6.62, before Matt Ryan was reinstated. Worst of all, he was in desperate need of a decent quarterback.
π― Best tradeΒ
Ian offered David Njoku for $4, and David countered with $3, gaining a top-10 TE for the rest of the season.
π Worst tradeΒ
Gave up David Njoku to David for $3, after posting zero points in week 1, to pick up Kyle Philips after week 1, who was immediately irrelevant. Njoku ended up being a top-10 TE rest of season, especially in week 3 when he posted 28.9 against Ian. (In fairness, Ian predicted that would happen.)

Championship game resulted in a tie. The Damar Hamlin situation canceled a game in which Josh Allen had only scored 3.12 points of a ~30-point projection. Because Reinier had no players left, Team Fergy needed Josh Allen to score an additional 11.33 points to get the win, which was pretty much guaranteed short of an injury. Reasonable doubt, and an unprecedented fantasy situation, resulted in a tie.
Allan's terrible trade. No manager has been the lowest-scoring team more than 4 times in a season, and yet Allan was lowest-scoring for the first 4 weeks β all because of a trade in which he gave up two of his best players for a mediocre quarterback after realizing his partially autodrafted team had no quarterback. As a result, Ian became co-manager of his team.
Liz's record low transactions. Seemingly guaranteed a playoff spot atop the standings for most of the season, a 6-loss streak in weeks 9 to 11 made her slide just out of the playoffs. Arguably the Best Drafter this season since she was dominant all season with a record low of only 2 transactions the entire season. But perhaps a few more transactions would have given her the 4.35 points she needed to make the playoffs.
Matt's historic losing streaks. With only 1 matchup win in week 6, Matt managed to have a symmetrical season with the first-ever season of two 11-loss losing streaks.
(Tie)
Runner-up: Allan

π° Most median sweats
Had 4 median sweats but won half of them.
π Best FAAB move
Spent 10% FAAB to get Deon Jackson in week 6, without whom, he would have lost to Mark, which would have resulted in him missing the playoffs. Next best was Team Fergy getting Taylor Heinicke in week 7, with the rest of their QBs on bye, which allowed them to get a win over Jesse.
π Worst FAAB move
Spent 32% FAAB (the 3rd highest FAAB payment of the season) to get Sam Ehlinger, who only delivered 9.64 points, then 6.62, before Matt Ryan was reinstated. Fortunately, Jesse didn't need a QB.
π― Best tradeΒ
See "Worst trade".Β
π Worst tradeΒ
Gave up DJ Moore and Tee Higgins to Mark for Baker Mayfield before week 1, after realizing he had no quarterback after his partial autodraft. This resulted in a historic 0-4 losing streak as the lowest scoring team all week.
